The PBFA was founded in the 1970s and is now one of the largest professional trade bodies organising second hand and antiquarian book fairs. The first fair was at the Hotel Eden in South Kensington. As my parents were founding members I along with my brother and sister attended that fair, so this year marks 50 years of my going to and exhibiting at PBFA fairs.
The PBFA website has a section which shows some of their members’ books for sale. During the pandemic they started monthly on-line book fairs. These fairs list books that have not been previously on the PBFA site. It is also possible to list books that one would be taking to a particular fair. So for example if you had looked at the page for Darlington Book Fair in May you would be able to view some of the books the exhibitors were planning to take.
I have listed a few books on the PBFA site and plan to list more in the coming months. These books may be viewed here.
