The Book House is a family run business in the north of England. We stock general books as well as our specialities--to find out more click the appropriate section on the left. We issue catalogues on our specialist subjects and also welcome visitors between 10am and 4.30pm (closed Sundays and Mondays). We are sometimes away at Book Fairs, so please ring first if coming from a distance. We can search for books for you, normally free of charge, especially within our specialist fields. We have links with Industrial Heritage magazine on the history of industry--this has its own web-site |

Grand Prix Buildings are at the north (Penrith) end of the Main Street (also known as Market Street) in Brough. If you enter Brough from the junction on the A66 or the A685 road from Kirkby you will turn left at the Clock Tower and go down the street until you see Grand Prix Buildings on the right--their white coaches are often in the yard. Entrance to The Book House is by the brown door beside the window at the left-hand side of the building. |

Callers welcome 10am--4.30pm except Sundays and Mondays--But sometimes we are away at Book Fairs, Conferences etc so please ring first if making a special journey. |
