It’s that time of year again and we are all busy getting ready for Arkholme Book Fair. To the left are some children’s books set around Yorkshire and Cumbria that were at the fair last year. However, there are books on all sorts of subjects and a list of exhibitors at this year’s fair and their specialisms may be found here.

Cumbria Industrial History Society Spring Conference
We had beautiful weather for the spring conference but fortunately the talks on Industry & the Arts in Cumbria were interesting enough to keep us all indoors! The autumn conference at Egremont will be on The Industries of West Cumbria.
